Located in the heart of Wood Green’s Cultural Quarter, London Calling’s 7,000 square foot warehouse is home to our clients’ print. The N22 office also manages our Business Development function, routing, geo-demographic profiling as well as a team of 60 freelance staff who carry out handouts, poster runs and door-to-door distribution.
Guy Smith – Head of Distribution
Logistics Manager by day, jazz aficionado by night. Other interests include his 4 children, Complexity Theory and playing the bass… none of which he has yet managed to get the better of.
Neil Burge – Warehouse Operative
Unflappable, Neil takes everything in his stride and ensures that no matter how busy we are, everything is done by the end of the day. A football obsessive, his collection of obscure football shirts is second to none.
Morgan Mosaic – Logistics Co-ordinator/System Development
Problems in your etherworld? Who you gonna call? At London Calling it’s Morgan, responsible for all things related to our html and your Mosaic needs. As a problem solver extraordinaire Morgan’s phone calls and emails are chock full with requests for help which he duly delivers unflustered and on time. One keen cyclist, budding brewer and guitarist. Livingstone, I presume?
Stephen Prudden – Research & Development Manager
Our ‘man in the field’ researching and developing new areas of growth for London Calling. If there’s a new venue opening, Steve will be there before the paint is dry. Supports Cambridge United and plays the drums.
Marc – Operations Manager
When not managing LC's driving team and distribution schedules, health fanatic Marc can be seen running marathons up and down the breadth of the country. Our very own Monty Don, green fingered Marc has single-handedly turned LC's warehouse into a giant greenhouse, where he nurtures his seeds into various vegetables, including the infamous Ghost Chilli.
Nick Shirfield – Inventory Manager
When not overseeing all things print related, Bass playing, Real Ale drinking and German-house-building Nick can be seen adorning Lycra in London Calling’s weekly 5-a-side football matches. Meticulous.
A. P. Walters – Research & Distribution Operative
Master of the rhetorical and brimful of opinion, answers and information. A.P. Walters is an industrious individual who can test your intellectual abilities. A people-person with an unabashed approach to securing new and interesting venues for our racks around London.
Julian Beere – Driver/Distributor
Dedicated gardener and apiarist. Eclectic. Cycles everywhere. Committed to exploring the Arts. Carries a kindle and holds books.
Ramon Miguel Bellido Sancho – Driver/Distributor
A man of many names but more commonly known as “Bobby” or “Moncho.” Proud supporter of his home-town team Real Zaragoza, “Bobby” also does a superb Freddie Mercury impression. Rioja required first though…
Simon Cheng – Driver & Warehouse Operative
When not packing the goods for display in LC's many cultural outlets, recent Film Studies graduate Simon can either been found 'working on' his latest script or propelling a football from his right peg towards the net (or limbs) of an opponent!
Christos Fanaras – Driver/Distributor
Wears mostly black and carries the aura of a wise and knowing sage. Performs music in various guises – Jack Shirt, Masters and Elephant House. Has written film scores for both real and imaginary films.
Lester Jones – Driver/Distributor
Part - time luthier who hails from the Welsh valleys. Lester gives morning lectures on subjects such as musical theory, history and the state of modern politics, always accompanied by extra strong coffee. Bit of a wizard on the guitar.
Sergiu Laurian – Driver/Distributor
Romanian by birth but he’s “definitely not from Transylvania.” Likes to talk and sometimes even listens. Full of ideas and suggestions. A thoroughly nice chap.
Renix Mesmain – Driver/Distributor
Originally from Montserrat, Renix is a keen aviculturist and one of the longest serving members of the team. Now in his 61st year (you would never guess…), retirement to the Caribbean is getting ever closer.
George Thompson – Driver/Distributor
Started out as a dancer and subsequently travelled the world undertaking a variety of jobs in some very interesting places across several continents. He joined the company in 2008 and has worked with both London Calling and Culture Calling. A human Sat Nav, George knows the roads of the England like the back of his hand… and also where to get the best coffee anywhere south of Hadrian’s Wall!
